Elle Magazine subscription find out more here | Cacti Homebase | White Plant Pots Dunelm (unavailable) | Polaroid strips c/o Polabora | Wooden heart Dunelm | Rings (assortment) from Primark | Heart dishes Dunelm
I've reached that age...when buying homeware things excites me more than buying clothes! Don't worry for me guys I still love clothes but boy, oh, boy there's nothing like getting yourself down to Dunelm and finding yourself a whole array of bits & bobs for the home. Living with my parents does hold me back a little - I could really go to town with this sort of retail therapy and have redecorated thousands of rooms in my head no a daily basis - but I still get to buy bits for my room and I'm thinking about moving out once the new job pay checks roll in so watch this space!
Let's start with something I've been getting for a while and while it's not quite 'homeware' I wanted to include it to point out the pros and cons of a magazine subscription. I opted to subscribe to Elle magazine before Christmas as there was the free gift of Marc Jacob's 'Daisy' perfume that came with it and it only cost me £18 for the entire year. The downfall is it's not always the best thing to read. The Christmas issues were great as they were filled to the brim with features and editorial but they do get thinner and less inspiring sometimes, especially around Summer so bear that in mind. These cute heart dishes and wooden heart to hang on the wall both came from Dunelm (me and my mum love that place) - the dishes are perfect for fruit snacks (or chocolate, let's be frank) and jewellery like I've done here. Cacti are a really big deal right now, with bloggers showing off their spiky friends on a regular basis over on Instagram they are the new thing to have on your shelf. I decided to repot mine in these white pots (from Dunelm, duh) that were on sale so are now unavailable unfortunately, as they needed some more soil and a bigger space to grow. Homebase have a whole range of these guys in lots of different shapes and sizes so definitely head down to your local store or head online to pick some for yourself! Lastly are my polaroid strips from Polabora that I featured on here a little while ago - they actually stay on my wall at the moment but I do tend to move things around every now and then so they probably won't stay there for long.
I'm off to spend my afternoon eating lots of cake and drink a ridiculous amount of tea with my two cousins, have a lovely Wednesday!
