Denim Button through Skirt ASOS | Suede jacket Mango (available at ASOS) | Necklace Primark | Sunglasses ASOS (similar here) | Lilac jumper c/o Another 8 | Suede fringed bag ASOS (similar here) | Blouse New Look | Dungarees Vintage
It's time to whip off the tights, fake tan to the max (no oompa loompa disasters though please) and start building up a new wardrobe ready for Spring/ Summer. I've picked a few things I've bought over the past month to show you what I'll be wearing, so let's just delve right in with probably one of the biggest trends so far - the 70s. I've picked two things, both suede, that I am going to wearing A LOT over the coming months (this jacket I've pretty much lived in since it landed on my doorstep) a bag and a jacket - so both really great things to have in your wardrobe to instantly lift an outfit into a new Season! The bag is now unavailable which is really annoying but I've linked some similar ones and, let's be honest, step into any high street store and you will find yo'self some suede. Next up, is another super duper trend I am LOVING - denim! I wear it all year around anyway but to update it I've gone for the IT button through skirt (trying to channel Alexa Chung, hello) and the 'always in style' dungaree. Both really versatile and more importantly, so so comfy.
A plain, white blouse is something you should absolutely buy for this Season - it looks great with a tan and goes with pretty much anything. This one I picked up is from New Look and has some really pretty and feminine lace panelling running through it. It's also got longer sleeves, which is great for me as I am literally the coldest person you will EVER meet - seriously, plus it means you don't need to lug around a jacket in case you get cold. Winning! Oh and speaking of cold...a jumper may seem like a weird thing to have on your Spring list but come on, we're not living in Bali for crying out loud - England is subject to some serious adverse weather and this lilac, quilted bundle of joy will keep you warm and snug when freezing temperatures strike. Because they will, let's face it. This one you may have seen me wear before with the button through skirt and I think it's great, such a fab fit for any sort of figure too. Last but not least are a couple of accessories - the necklace from Primark is the colour you should be sporting this Season, turquoise. It's simple yet striking, exactly the kind of thing I love in my jewellery pieces. The sunglasses are totally out of my comfort zone, but something I'm really glad I purchased - they're unusual in their shape, fit and colour but seriously how gorgeous do they look?
Hope you had a fab Easter Sunday and are continuing the chocolate eating through to today too!
