A cut above the rest
31 August 2015
I never thought I'd see the day when I would be wearing denim culottes…yet, here I am wondering what I ever did without them in my life? I picked up this pair in the Topshop sale (they're now just £10, by the way with a fair few sizes left) with the intention of returning them, but instead I tried them on…and kept them on for the rest of the day. They are oh so comfy, oh so chic and oh so cool! – even my mum was left wanting a pair! The thing I love about Topshop (among a lot of things really) is they do their trousers by waist and length, so being a tall girl with a small waist but bigger hips I can still find trousers that fit me perfectly – thank you Sir Philip Green!
I also picked up this crochet, lace top in the sale (couldn't find it online though) and have worn it a lot since I got it – it goes with pretty much anything I throw on, including these fab culottes and is a perfect Summer staple top. The hat from Primark adds a touch of that on-trend rust colour to the outfit and the sliders add even more comfort and cool, and of course I had to show off my Olive Cooper bag yet again! I love it so much!

Zip it up!
28 August 2015
I love shopping and I love a bargain so when it's time for the Topshop sale to get underway I get a wee bit excited about the bargains I'm going to find! This dress I actually bought in white at first (not realising there was a blue option) but I had to return it as it was ridiculously see-through – like, you could see everything going on behind the scenes in that thing. When I was perusing the web after getting yet another Topshop email came through my phone telling me that more sale items had been added I found this babin' version of the dress, no pants visible in this one. It's a little bit risqué because the zip does actually work and it does actually go all the way down (GASP) but the pockets and fabric give it a casual feel so hopefully nobody will be attempting to get me to flash!
The blouse I had had my eye on when it first came in to stores, but like a lot of Topshop things I couldn't bring myself to spend nearly £40 on a top! But low and behold there it was hanging in all its glory in among the sale racks in my size the other week! Hurrah! FYI, I did try to find this online for y'all but I can't seem to find it on their site – try your local Topshop, though – don't give up! I finished off this particularly Summery look with my Primark pool sliders, not that I'm anywhere near a pool, and Primark rose gold sunglasses that are the bomb.com!
Have a lovely weekend (in the sunshine hopefully) and have a great bank holiday too, wahoo!

To the beach!
26 August 2015
I did a post about going to the beach a little while ago and you all seemed to like it so when mum suggested going again I grabbed my camera (and Daisy dog) and we set off to make the short(ish) car journey to Lyme Regis in Dorset – probably our favourite beach. Filled with cute beach huts, yummy restaurants full of freshly caught fish ready to quench your appetite and sea views to die for as a family we've been going to Lyme for as long as I can remember – in all weathers!
When we went it started off sunny and warm and gradually changed to a little more stormy, as you can see from my pictures – we took a walk along the beach front and stopped for a bite to eat (I had the sea bass and it was delish, FYI) then after we walked along the (actually pretty scary) walkway along the sea edge taking a look at the boats and people settled down to do some crabbing. When we headed back to the main bit it was time for some traditional ice-cream that Daisy dog really seemed to enjoy as well. We decided to call it a day when I was getting grumpy and cold so headed back to the car where Daisy slept pretty much the whole way home…I may have had a little nap also!
Flower power
24 August 2015
Florals seem to be my go-to print at the moment, whether that be on trousers or tops flowers are somewhere on me – this top from Five pound Tee is fast-becoming a wardrobe staple I'm wearing all the time. It's simple, comfortable and makes a small statement to a plain outfit – perfect for the hot weather we're having (every now and then, I'm aware that as I type this it's raining cats and dogs outside). Teamed with a pair of the comfiest jeans ever that were a bargain in the ASOS sale so of course, they're now out of stock but I'll link some similar ones below for you.
Completing the outfit with my fave Primark sandals that will soon have to be put away ready for Winter boots (I actually can't wait for Winter!!) and my staple 'retro' sunglasses also from ASOS this is a simple Summer look for those of use that don'w have a lot of time to give much thought to what we're going to be wearing – those 6.30am wake up calls are a bitch aren't they?

Summer comfort
21 August 2015
When it comes to being comfortable during Spring and Summer, in fact any season, I turn to dungarees – an easy addition to any fashion-lovers wardrobe they are effortless but chic and these ones from Primark and at the top of my love-list right now. Tight at the bottom but loose at the top this figure-hugging pair are probably the first dungarees I've bought that aren't baggy and it was love at first sight! I wanted to give this look a monochrome colour scheme, it's predominantly black anyway so adding white touches here and there wasn't hard.
My go-to top at the moment for Summer is this cold shoulder top from Primark as well, being top heavy I didn't think I could pull this sort of style off but it seems to work (I hope). I added my white slider sandals and rose gold sunglasses both Primark (yup, an all Primark outfit, once again) for a great day-to-day Summer look, hopefully there's still some sunshine left for us before Autumn finally hits!

Every now and then a brand comes along and you know they've created their business from scratch and for a purpose…Peggy Pink is one of those brands. A company full of gorgeous pieces of jewellery, fab sunglasses and fun phone case it's clear to see why a lot of people are heading to Peggy Pink for those all-important statement pieces. Being a cancer survivor herself the owner, Peggy knew straight away she wanted 10% of all the money she makes to go to Cancer Reasearch UK, here's what she told me about her business…
"I always wanted to have my own business, I just never knew what kind of business I wanted to set up! Being a cancer survivor it was really important that I could raise money for Cancer Research UK to help give others a second chance at life too. Being able to combine my love for fashion and my goal of raising money is truly exciting and a dream come true, it's what motivates me to make Peggy Pink grow bigger."
Onto what the lovely Peggy sent me – first things first pineapples are big news at the moment don't ya know. From homeware to prints they've taken the blogging world by storm and of course, I'm loving them too! This dainty necklace is almost too small to be seen in these photographs – but you can just about see the outline. In a lovely gold and attached to a thin chain this necklace is perfect if you're a fan of little jewellery while still wanting to make a statement. I also received these stacking rings in silver, which are amazing! I don't wear rings often but when I do I can't wear just one so this set is perfect for me – Peggy's shop is full of things like this so follow the link above to check it out.

Berlin

Berlin tee c/o Five Pound Tee | Skirt Topshop (unavailable similar here) | Sandals Primark | Sunglasses ASOS (unavailable similar here) | Scarf Vintage
FYI it's super hard to take photo's of a white and grey top when it's so friggin' sunny…anyway…
For a long old while now I've wanted to visit Berlin, with money going on clothes rather than being saved and friends being busy it just hasn't happened yet – so when I saw this tee on the Five Pound Tee website I practically jumped in the air with glee! Well not quite, but ya know. It's simple, perfect for an casual outfit but best of all? It's only £5, duh! The company pride themselves on creating great quality products right in the heart of our bustling capital, London. The assistant creative director of Five Pound Tee says:
"Five Pound Tee is a brand that aims to promote the use of personal expression while providing good quality clothing at an affordable price. As a brand we are inspired by creativity and personal expression, our clothes are always designed in a manner that promotes positive vibes but also strength, that allows people to be themselves."
With that mantra in mind I stuck to what I know best and teamed my tee with my corduroy white skirt from Topshop, sandals that are almost falling apart from Topshop and sunglasses from ASOS. What I didn't bank on what this little neckerchief I added right at the last minute – but I think it works and is in keeping with the whole look!

Flower crown c/o Flash Floozy | Dress ASOS
Happy Friday!
Take me to the 60s where going barefoot and wearing flowers in your hair was the norm and a dress down to the floor wasn't just for those Summer days. You will already have seen this babin' flower crown from Flash Floozy if you read my previous post about the amazing brand and the even more amazing woman behind it all. I just wanted to post this entire outfit so you get a feel of what the crown looks like in an ensemble and, well doesn't it look pretty darn great?? Like I've said before I love the colours, the flowers Marie from Flash Floozy has used and the fact that it doesn't look like a fake flower crown at all – they look like real flowers!!
The dress is a simple maxi number but with gorgeous lace panelling and stunning embroidery throughout – perfect if you're heading to a festival this Summer or even a wedding. Though you may even upstage the bride in this. I also love the backless detailing, being a bigger boobed girl it's hard to pull this off but finding the right see-through bra helped sort that out. I braved the thistles and stinging nettles and went shoeless, simply to add to the look I was going for – shoes are rarely an optional thing in today's world, obviously – but I thought it was exactly what this look needed.
Hope you all have a great weekend, I'm going to be maxing and relaxing enjoying a much needed week off work next week, yay! But I'll still be blogging, so see you Monday…
