Barkbeats: doggy box
30 September 2015
I feel like I've completely gone over to the dark side of loving my dog more than most humans! Last month I decided to give Bark Beats a go, it's a subscription box for your favourite canine companion and boy oh boy are your furry friends in for a treat (or two, or three…). The box is packed full of five or six fun/ edible/ engaging treats for your pets to enjoy – it's also completely suited to the kind of dog you have, you tell them when you order your box if your dog is small, medium or large. Meaning there isn't a thing in these that isn't suited to my little Yorkshire Terrier, Daisy dog, meaning nothing goes to waste and she has some exciting new things to play with, or to tickle her taste buds!
I bought this as a one off (or so I thought*) as a little present for Daisy, as I'd seen a promotional code online randomly for a half price first box. Great news! In this particularly box Daisy received a cuddly toy, pack of tomato-flavoured biscuits, breakfast lollipop, chew toy and a homemade dog-friendly ice-cream for you to whip up when your pup has been particularly good! Like I've said on here before I'm not normally a fan of of subscription boxes but my mind seems to be changing – especially for lifestyle and animal ones, the beauty editions seem a waste of money to me. Daisy gives this box her seal of approval and is still munching her way through some of the treats and the cuddly toy is still going strong…the ice-cream is something we are yet to sample!
Head to Bark Beats to find out more
*I noticed £14 going out of my account the end of last month to Bark Beats, so emailed them to question why I had been signed up to a monthly subscription when I had chosen the one month option. Their answer? You have to actually email them to cancel your subscription, even though it says nothing about this until you consciously go onto the 'Terms & Conditions' page (who ever goes on those pages?) – something for you to bear in mind if you want a one off present for your dog, like I did.
A midi thing…
28 September 2015
If you're still wishing it was Summer then this is the post for you! Though I love Autumn, it's hard to accept the fact that Summer's gone…completely…totally, even as I write this I'm nestled next to the heater in a thick jumper and fluffy bed socks (wearing other clothes, too, obviously!). It seems I was on a photography streak at one point and I have some Summer outfit posts left over that I still absolutely love, but aren't all that weather appropriate anymore…but I hope you don't mind!
This skirt from Primark is something you're going to need in your wardrobe for every season, not just Summer – it's going to look great layered up with a jumper, pair of chelsea boots and coat in Winter, as well! This cold shoulder top is definitely something that'll stay in your wardrobe forever, and you'll only get out for those hotter Summer months – it's a style that comes back every other season and I LOVE it. I accessorised with my trusty pack of stackable rings also from Primark (everything here's from Primark, of course), sandals and pink-reflecting aviator sunglasses.

Gridlock!

"Led by a team of top London creatives, AnotherEight aims to bridge the gap between the familiar mass-produced high street and the often unattainable designer label. A fusion of street style and contemporary design, AnotherEight's collections are urban but directional including statement separates, premium leather, key accessories and playful unisex pieces. The label already had a loyal following from British style icons such as Ellie Goulding and Cara Delevingne." - AnotherEight
I decided this look needed a bit of balancing out so added my fab culottes from Topshop and (still needing to be a little dirtier) Converse to get a simple, everyday look. This is a great look if you want to throw on something comfortable but still look quite smart – add skinny jeans for a more fitted look, or even a swing skirt to make it a little dressier. The possibilities with this AnotherEight jumper are endless and I can't wait to wear it again and see what look I come up with next!
Orelia jewellery
23 September 2015
I love me some dainty jewellery and henna design tattoos – Orelia jewellery has got to be one of my favourite brands when it comes to pretty, timeless and unique pieces! Whether you're after a new necklace, bangle or not actually jewellery at all, but a set of fun, beautiful henna tattoos Orelia have it all there for you. I was lucky enough to be given a couple of bits from their new range to take a look at and review for you guys…
MOON & STARS HENNA TATTOOS
Contrasts of silver and blue help to make these tattoos really stand out on your skin (see my Instagram for photos), I've wanted a mandala or lotus flower tattoo for a while now and this set has just made me want one even more! Orelia says about the tattoos, "Be creative and channel the vibe of moonlight strolls on the beaches of Bali and dancing under the stars with this delicate collection."
BANGLE
A lovely addition to any jewellery collection, this bangle with wing detailing at either end is a simple piece that you can wear with absolutely anything. It's also a great size that you could either wear on your upper arm or wrist, or even in the middle – whatever you choose! With small diamante detailing in the wings, that add a little something extra, it's a brilliant statement piece. But, if you don't like the look of the wing design or diamante then Orelia have loads to choose from in their new (and old, actually) collection online.
SEMI PRECIOUS NECKLACE
Featuring a semi-precious ammonite stone cube pendant, this piece is perfect to add a little touch to any outfit. According to Orelia, "Amazonite is said to be a soothing stone believed to dispel negative energy and improve confidence, leadership and communication." The piece for me is great when I don't want to wear anything too heavy around my neck, but still want something to make my outfit that little bit more. The stone is a gorgeous shade of blue and sits perfectly on the collar bone, and the gold chain is thin but resilient –no snapping here!
Rose garden
21 September 2015
A Summer throwback is always necessary – especially when it features a pretty Primark dress like this one! Completely forgotten about, it was only when I was looking through my photos on my computer that I realised this look had never gone live. But here it is, in my nan's garden complete with pretty roses – a fab, casual and comfortable look that I was wearing a lot in July and August, now maybe not so much. The white dress was a great find in Primark Bristol (my favourite!), it's really well made and gives a fantastic shape – it also has these small mesh inserts that made the whole outfit more breathable in the hot months and made a mundane, white dress a tad more interesting.
The addition of my flower crown was an after thought on this day, but when I knew I was going to be shooting in my nan's lovely garden full of red roses, I knew it would work well and look perfect! (Jeez, blowing my own trumpet, much?) The sandals you may remember seeing before, throughout Summer and in a couple of other posts recently – super comfy and easy to slip on and just get on with your day.
Psst…I'm pretty sure Primark are having a sale of their pretty flower crowns at the moment, definitely worth a look!

Sugarhill Autumn
18 September 2015
Autumn is, quite possibly one of my favourite months – the leaves turning crisp, red and golden and the frosty beautiful fresh mornings we seem to have in England. But, the thing I love most is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the fashion! This amazing jumper from Sugarhill Boutique is the epitome of Autumn for me, I love the colours of the flowers and the fact that it's black also means they stand out even more. The cut, fit and style is completely up my street and would work well for any girl of any shape and size (YAY!).
This skirt is also going to become an Autumn staple for me, the rust colour is so on trend and the button-through detailing in the front? Well, every Tom, Dick and Harry knows that that it's one of THE key trends for 2015 – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, button through skirts are there! This look is all tied together with my trusty brown pixie boots that I bought from Primark last year – they've lasted me for so long and still have a lot of wear left, ready for this chilly Winter season!
If you're looking for a loose, relaxed fitting jumper that you're going to want to simply throw on over jeans, a skirt or even on top of dresses I would definitely recommend this one from Sugarhill! I have been living in it since it landed on my doorstep and I can't see myself taking it off anytime soon, either – maybe just for washing, of course!

MeMeMe Make-up
16 September 2015
When it comes to make-up, I'm not exactly the most knowledgable blogger on the planet, however I know what works and what doesn't – that's kinda all you really need when it comes to make-up and skincare really, isn't it? Mememe Cosmetics were kind enough to send these three different products for me to try out and I had a lot of fun playing around with them all, creating different looks (which will most probably be up in the form of a selfie on Instagram so be sure to follow me on there) and seeing if they worked for me. Find out what I thought…
EYE SWEEP PRECISION EYE DEFINER
The eye liner I have been grabbing for over the months of June, July and August has been Soap & Glory's Supercat eye liner, this version from Mememe reminds me of S&P's a lot but the eye liner seems to come out darker and makes the eye more defined. It has a thin nib, very similar to a thin felt tip pen which makes it super easy to do a cat-eye flick – great for a clumsy, hand shaker like myself. As for lasting finish, this product lasted me for those stressful eight hours at work and was still going when I was heading upstairs to take my make-up off! However, it came off quickly and easily when I was taking my make-up off ready for bed.
LIGHT ME UP LIP GLOSS
This product got me really excited! Not just for the vibrant colour but also the fact that it has a little side mirror attached and a nifty light that comes on as soon as you untwist it. It's great if you're applying make-up on the go, at dinner or re-applying in a darker setting like a nightclub. The lipgloss is high shine which isn't something I would normally go for but this seems to sit on the lips really well and I'm not worried about it smudging or slipping off for a wander around my face.
ANGEL FACE BB CREAM
BB creams are something I have always loved, as someone who has tricky combination skin I find BB creams work really well with it. This one is the lightest shade Mememe have, which is perfect for me – light, long-lasting and you can keep building it up depending on how much coverage you want! As it is a cream it can make my skin a little bit oily but a just apply my face powder afterwards and it's completely resolved.

Mellow yellow
14 September 2015
Yellow would never normally be a colour I'd go for but I just couldn't leave this pretty skater dress on the hanger in Primark! Bought a couple of months ago (so it's probably already gone from stores), it features plain white lining underneath and this super gorgeous lace appliquéd dress over it – all in one so easier to put on! For some reason, I really seem to struggle with putting on an strappy dress and then another one on top – you know the ones I mean – they never seem to match up! Anyway, I obviously don't have that problem with this dress!
I added my super Summery sandals (also Primark) and braided my hair from out of my face – it really needs a cut and colour, let me tell you! Trying to grow out roots is one of the worst things any 21st Century girl (or guy, actually) has to go through, I hope y'all know what I'm talking about, people. This outfit is seriously simple, and although it's probably NOT all that great for the weather we've been having recently, it is a staple piece you can have in your wardrobe for years to come…

Summer playtime
11 September 2015
Contrary to what the weather might be trying to tell us, it is still meant to be warm out there! Despite me buying every single Autumnal thing under the ever-colder sun, I'm still hoping we get one last ditch attempt at a Summer – and Primark, once again is who I'll turn to! This playsuit has been a dream to play around in during the Summer months (we did have some good days, didn't we?), it's so lightweight and easy to wear, plus it's got what I LOVE to have on outfits – pockets! Such a simple aspect to an outfit but pockets, for me are the be-all and end-all of a piece of clothing, I may not have bought this if it didn't have them. Shocking I know.
I simply added my sandals (also Primark) that have seen me through the Summer heat and rust-coloured fedora that's going to transition easily into Autumn, this colour is going to be HUGE come the Autumn/ Winter months and I can't wait to style it up differently, basically adding more layers. If you need a simple look for when things get just a little too hot, hey, it can happen, then I highly recommend this embroidered playsuit – hopefully it's still in stores, if not head to ASOS and they'll sort you out!
